Our next UKA Day is to be held in ‘Midsomer Murders’ country. No sign of the population diminishing though! Our host for the day, Doug Harbour, has seen shoots at Warborough Dorchester, and town centre is Wallingford town centre in real life.

This is the first UKA event in 2019 and is in a great location. This is our second visit and proved a popular event with members back in 2017.

A convenient pub will be sought for evening sessions and food, etc. The programme will try to cater for all levels of player. Absolute beginners are always welcome and we welcome other instruments along, especially for the jam sessions and open stage. Intermediate players are defined as folks who know their way around chord buttons on a harp, are fairly confident strummers, but are not yet confident melody pickers.  Mike Fenton will be offering one-to-one sessions throughout the day.

The programme will cater for all levels of player.  BEGINNERS are very new players who are not yet familiar with playing their autoharp. MOVING ON PLAYERS are defined as players who know their way around chord buttons on a harp, are fairly confident strummers, but are not yet confident melody pickers. Moving On’s usually comprise of players who feel the Beginners class is too easy for them now but do not feel confident enough to take the Intermediate class. Also players who may be or consider themselves Intermediate players but have not done the Moving On class and would like to try it. INTERMEDIATE - Beginning Melody playing and techniques.
Light refreshments will be provided but please bring your own lunch.

EXTRA - FRIDAY NIGHT SESSION & GET-TOGETHER
at the "Coach & Horses", The Kinecroft, OX10 0DT on 8th March. The pub is just off the town centre, and is accessible either from the Kinecroft, a public green running along the High Street, west of the traffic lights in the centre, or from a walkway from the town centre, which crosses Goldsmiths Lane. It is a very popular spot, especially on a sunny day. Plenty of car parking nearby, or easily walkable from over the bridge in Crowmarsh.  Food is available from 6.00pm so we can arrive from then on. Please could you let Doug Harbour know if you plan to attend this session so he can ensure enough tables and chairs are prepared for us.  doug@ukautoharps.com
